MELISSA PALMER
PROFILE
Melissa Palmer has been an independent corporate lawyer since 1991, after having first practiced as legal counsel within major law firms for 8 years, and regularly works for our firm on a "of Counsel" capacity.
After having developed a first expertise in commercial law, with a dominant in mergers and acquisitions, she developed a parallel specialization in labor law, which represents today 50% of her business.
After eight years in important structures (Coudert Frères, Ernst & Whinney having become Ernst & Young, as Senior Associate), working for essentially foreign clients (North America, Great-Britain, Japan, Spain, Italy and Greece), she created her own firm in order to work closer to her clients.
Her client base is principally composed of multinational groups working in various fields: electronic products, computer technology, luxury products, foodstuff, services, both in manufacturing and distribution.
She has thus worked at putting in place European selective distribution, franchise and commission-affiliation networks, and has been in charge of negotiations and audit operations in numerous acquisitions and sales of companies.
She is charged with the daily follow up of her clients in matters of company and labor law (employment contracts, terminations, redundancies, settlements, working time agreements, modulation of working time, audits) and also has a base of individual clients in matter of labor law.
